The Opportunity with Roadtek
We are adding a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to our new Sales division in Bellingham, Washington. In this role, you will lead sales for retail (big-box/chain) growth, retention, and renewal through delivery of quality, value, relationship building and maintenance. This includes:
Enterprise Channel Sales:
- Responsible for the overall financial performance of new sales growth and accounts.
- Create, vette, implement, measure, and adjust multi-store online and brick and mortar channel sales strategy plays with new clients.
- Identify and acquire new strategic accounts to meet annual sales goals.
- Act as an escalation point for resolving complex customer requirements for assigned accounts.
- Ensure that business opportunities are converted into orders and revenue to meet and exceed the assigned orders quota, from the strategic/key accounts assigned.
- Collaborate with internal team in identifying and implementing tactics to attain team’s and customer’s goals.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics related to sales activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize partnership performance.
- Lead client growth by identifying and pursuing expansion opportunities for new and existing clients while collaborating with other divisions.
- Renew and expand services within assigned client base.
- Capture all touch points in Zoho CRM, RingCentral, Sharepoint, Office, and provide weekly target and performance summaries correlated to set growth KPIs.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, product management, and engineering to ensure alignment and coordination in executing strategies and initiatives.
Industry Insight and Market Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to consumer auto products/battery powered tools, providing insights and recommendations to inform partnership strategies and decision-making.
Thought Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on big box engagement sales and merchandising strategies.
Tradeshow & Industry Event Attendance: Represent ROADTEK at industry shows and events.
Marketing/Branding Adherence: Ensure all communications and actions are in alignment with marketing department including proper branding and brand voice alignment.
What You Need to Succeed at Roadtek
- Excellent communicator with superior verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve while displaying attention to detail in a fast-paced environment often with multiple and competing demands.
- Strong active listening and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize input and develop observations and conclusions quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills with the ability to establish rapport with and influence multiple leaders and internal business partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field required.
- Minimum five (5) years customer account management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex, major accounts, with a proven track record of significant revenue growth, and overall account retention.
- Emotional Quotient: We are a small, growing, tight knit team who all work hard and well with each other. We are looking for the right person who has experience and emotional intelligence.
- Our ideal candidate will reside in Bellingham, WA. This is a remote position with travel and occasional in-person meetings.
- Ability to travel to events and client meetings as required. Travel estimation 10-40%.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a computer, keying and reading content.
- Will be required to stand, reach, bend, twist, squat, and move about freely in an office environment. May need to be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to use office equipment such as phone, copier, printer, video camera, etc.

The pay range for this position is $91,000- $100,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
